About

Historical Truth 101 is a preservation initiative dedicated to collecting and preserving rare and unique stories through the collection of oral, written, and videotaped histories of individuals as well as research experts. Historical Truth 101 is committed to making this non-renewable history available to the general public, via the Internet, through membership access to the archives of video interviews for education, enrichment, and enlightenment.

We have traveled from Virginia to New Orleans, Texas and more, interviewing veterans, historians, genealogists, and museum curators in order to provide the most diverse historical material in one website. You will find everything from interviews with veterans of wars from World War 2 to the Vietnam War, chronological time lines of Wars to the southern charm of plantations.

You are going to be introduced to men and women who share their stories–or “truths”–about their lives during war and peace time. It is our goal to make truth accessible, honoring those that have actually lived the history and those who make it available. In addition, we seek to promote people, places and opportunities of true historical value.

Check back often, as we will expand to include many topics of historic interest including genealogy, Native American research, Indian trails, all of the major wars and minor conflicts, and much more. There’s even an interview with a holocaust survivor on the way. Also, look for blogs on your favorite historic subjects.
